Being able to choose the destination for a command (USB, DIN or both) would be a handy feature. I can see where I might want to have some commands go to one destination or another. I trigger samples on an SP-404 while the computer is loading the next song. Naturally while the loading is going on Logic is unable to route midi to where I want it.
I’m finding so many ways this device is going be useful on stage, it is going to solve so many problems for me.
Found this post while troubleshooting, I am also trying to trigger samples on an SP-404 using an MC but have been unable. Would you mind sharing your setup? Right now I’m running TRS out of an omniport.
We updated this feature and this setting was removed. Basically, the outputs will be masked until you tell it to change i.e. add another Utility “Set MIDI Output Mask” message to change the config.
Unfortunately seems to still not be functioning. Is there some operator error here on my part?
Here is my current message flow for testing the function.
As you see I have two different PC messages to the same MIDI channel connected via DIN5, with a delay in between.
After pressing, the pedal changes to PC#10 and 1140ms later to PC#5. Any help here?
I just tested the same settings and it works for me. May I know what firmware you are running? Also, is there anything connected to the MC6 MIDI Input? Just wondering if the messages are passing through from the MIDI Input to the Omniport.
