Feature Request: Global states

Hello,

I’m not sure if this request should be posted on the Software side or on the Hardware side, I hope it’s OK like this.

I’m in a situation (with an MC6-Pro) where when I activate a preset I would like to send a different message to an effect depending on the situation I am e.g. preset 1 on my reverb if I’m playing at home but preset 2 if I’m playing in a band, without the need to duplicate my presets.

I imagine it could be a flag to be set by a switch with a default value set in the editor (e.g. state “isLive” with value false define in the editor, and a switch in an “utility” bank with toggle the state), then in my preset I can select a global state and 2 messages to be sent depending on its current state (e.g. “isLive” is false: send preset 1 on the reverb, otherwise send preset 2).

It’d be pretty useful to handle multiple situations without duplicating the presets.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,
do you know that the MC 6 pro has 4 different profiles?
You can switch the profile on the fly when entering the menu on the device.
I think that’s what you want?
Just do an all banks backup, change the profile and load the backup. Then you can make changes to your presets and you are good to go.

I’ve done something similar for some time… and I don’t want to do anymore. Keeping 2 sets of banks in sync is very cumbersome.

The example I’ve given is just a basic one, there could be many use cases for such a feature.
