Expression Pedal/MIDI Clock Bug

I posted in the Facebook group and was told by James to post here as well…

Have there been any solutions to the expression pedal/midi clock bug?

I have a Meris LVX and hologram microcosm daisy chained from the DIN output of my MC6 mk2 which is receiving clock from Ableton. I recently added an expression pedal in Omni port 1 and have it sending several CC changes to both pedals causing the tempo on both pedals to jump around drastically. Running latest firmware on my MC6. The only thing I’ve tried is turning MIDI persist off which didn’t fix the issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

@james I’m still having this issue. Can you offer any insight? Thanks.

Sorry for missing this - I just tested this with my MC6 MK2 running on the latest v3.13.6. I sent clock via Ableton to the MC6MK2 (tested with varying BPMs up to 190BPM). with cross MIDI Thru turned on, I monitored the outgoing clock from the DIN5 output to check that the BPM is correct. Then using an expression pedal to trigger the Exp1 preset on the MC6 MK2 to send CC messages. The BPM remained stable throughout in my monitoring device.

What BPM are you sending from Ableton?
To troubleshoot, can you change the CC messages in your expression preset to a different, unused channel so that your LVX and Microcosm doesnt react to the CC messages. Does the BPM still jump in this case?

Hi James, yes still having the issue after sending expression messages to an unused MIDI channel. The LVX and microcosm’s BPM still jumped around even though CC messages were not being sent to their individual channels. I have Ableton sending 200bpm just as a test.

Hi @james just following up here. Thanks for your help!
