I’m using an MC6 Pro with a DVP4 mini Volume pedal as an expression pedal (I’m also seeing the same issue with my DVP3). I’ve calibrated the pedal, and it is working in terms of going from 0% to 100%, but the motion is uneven. What I mean by that is: when I start in the Heel position at 0% and move it maybe a quarter of the way towards the Toe position, it jumps up to around 80%, halfway is about 90%, and then the final quarter takes it from 95% to 100%. I know there are custom response curves, but they don’t quite seem to properly counteract the effect I’m experiencing. Anyone have an idea of how to rectify this and get a smoother movement from Heel to Toe?
I was having the same issue with an Ernie Ball Volume Jr. as an expression. Then I bought a Lehle expression pedal and I’m having the same issue. Very jumpy signal with the MC8 Pro and sounds bad. Any advice would be great.
Hi,
I’m using a dvp mini with no issues.
Check your cable first.
Make sure the expression input is set to ‘voltage divider’.
The dvp has an internal 50k trimpot to set the minimum value. Make sure it is turned fully counter clockwise and re-calibrate.
It turned out to be the tip/ring selector on the inside was on the wrong setting. It needed to be on tip. But thanks for prompting me to open it up and look inside.
