Expression Pedal affects all Banks

Hey, I wanted to use my Expression Pedal (Lehle Dual Expression) to control my mix on the Big Sky with my MC8. I watched all 3 Videos from the channel on YouTube and ran into 2 problems. When I switch my preset, my Exp-pedal still affects the mix of literally any Verb on any bank, no matter which Bank I pick on the Bigsky and no matter if I switch to a different preset on the MC8 with Select Exp Message selected or not. I use the second output of the Lehle to control a different pedal, so I need to be able to shut the mix changes down, as soon as I switch the preset on the MC8. Furthermore I can’t 100% calibrate my Exppedal. The maximum I get out of it is 0-98% or 2-100%. 2% are somehow always missing. If I move it in heel position the Screen which should show 0% somehow flickers like a glitch constantly a “100%”. If I press “hard enough” on my pedal it sometimes settles on 0% and stays there. The TRS cable is currently plugged into the 10k ohm output, I tried the 50k as well, no changes. Only thing could be the cable, I could order a new one, but wouldn’t explain the “always on” expression mode.

Hi,

expression presets stay active even when if you change banks.

That’s a feature, not a bug. Serliously.

To deactivate the expression pedal, simply put a select expression preset / on enter in the bank settings.

Don’t check any boxes.

To calibrate your pedal, try different sensitivities. If that doesn’t help don’t move the pedal all the way down when calibrating. This will create a dead zone, but you should be able to reach 0% consistently.

Got to uncheck the boxes, ty !

Still having issue with the sensitivity for the Exp. I tried to not fully moving down the pedal when calibrating. Now I got the problem, when I should be in the “the end” Expressions jumps to 100%, which is even worse. So went back to the regular calibration. Still my screen flickers like crazy at “0%” showing a flickering “100%” . What’s wrong here? Sensitivity is already on Low.

If we are talking about calibration:
Did you calibrate the LEHLE pedal on its own* or did you use a “calibration function” of the MC8? (sorry, I am not very familiar with the MC8)

*LEHLE DUAL EXPRESSION – LEHLE Support

However, for testing I recommend to disconnect the second connection of the LEHLE to the other device.
Second, get in contact with me at support@lehle.com so we can do a few checks.

Thanks!
Joki

I just calibrated my Lehle Dual Expression, still my MC8 flickers at 0% just like in the video. And still having the problem that it sometimes sets to 100% on Heel-position and sometimes on 0% . Sadly I can’t use this function until someone has an idea what’s wrong here.

Have you written a mail to me at support@lehle.com?

No I didn’t  but I still got no progress / solution

Well.
If you don’t get in contact with LEHLE support (or Morningstar), but at the same time say, you have no solution for an issue, there might be the chance, you don’t get help.

It’s up to you.
:slightly_smiling_face:

Best regards
Joki

What I meant, was the fact that even after calibrating the pedal it’s still not working and I would not post in this forum if I don’t want to get help.

I recently realized I’m not on the current Version of the MC8. I’m looking forward that an update will solve my problem! But I’m pretty sure the Lehle Expression itself is not the problem. I’m controlling a POG3 (and had controlled a Mobius in the past) with the Expression pedal with zero problems and full accuracy!

greetings
