In both presets and in banks I’ve assigned my expression 1 value to CC7. I’ve calibrated the pedal and it shows the exp1 value on the morningstar screen. However, in the morningstar editor MIDI monitor, and MIDI OX, the CC values from my expression pedal are not being shown/transmitting. It’s not affecting the synth. What should I do? Thank you

you have to programm a ‘select expression preset’ message to a switch to activate it.
Okay thank you that helps a lot already. So it can’t automatically be activated when I enter a bank, I need to select action “press” to a switch in a preset, type “select expression message” and pos. both? Then below that I input the corresponding messages respective cc number, cc value, channel, and use expression value, but which “action” do I put in the expression messages, “no action”?
You can programm a message in the bank settings tab to activate it ‘on enter’.

Once this is set up you can programm a ‘select expression preset’ message and simply tick the boxes for the expression messages you want to send when the preset is active. You don’t have to programm anything in addition to that. Pick ‘press’ and ‘position both’ if you don’t want to be able to turn the pedal off or to send different messages.
Thank you again I already see that there were some important things I was missing in the editor, the expression presets I did not see previously. I will try this tomorrow and should be good to go much appreciated, game changer.
Everything is functioning now as expected I have multiple expression presets in action and am activating them when needed. I appreciate your assistance.
