When I use an exp pedal the name I have set as “long name” in the Expr1 preset blinks one time very quickly in the left display as soon as I stop rocking it.
Is it normal?
I can just leave that field blank but was curious as to why it blinks
Same here. Along with that, when you move the expression pedal to max, it always displays the long text from the last button/preset used on that page. So, when you see that flickering, it’s quickly flashing between the long text of the Expression pedal, and the long text of the last used button/preset. I’m on v3.12.13
Updated to v3.13.0 Beta. Same behavior.
I can confirm that this is an issue in the v3.12.13 firmware.
In the beta v3.13.0 firmware, it has been fixed. I didn’t experience this behaviour though - it seems like the expression pedal read is jittery - can you try to set the sensitivity to medium and see if that helps?

That indeed fixed the flashing when set to medium.

It fixed the long pedal name blinking as you reported
I updated to the latest beta and the issue is fixed. (now the long name stay On until I switch off that particular preset) - not sure how useful it is to see a general exp pedal preset name (it would be more useful to see the name of the actual exp message being sent) - exp sensitivity in my case is set to HIGH
