Everything stops working

Everything stops working when I engage a preset on mc6 pro haha.
I turn on the controller and my two button external TRS aux switch (Boss FS-7) set to bank up and down works great until I press any switch on mc6 pro. The FS-7 no longer banks up and down. My tap tempo switch also stops recognizing that it’s being engaged and I can no longer switch to any other present. Any suggestions?

Just to clarify,

  1. FS-7 works fine
  2. MC6 PRO only stops working when you press a switch on the MC6 PRO itself?

Is there anything connected to the MIDI IN port on the MC6 PRO? There might be a MIDI Loop going on

If the MC6 PRO is non-responsive, can you unplug the FS7 and any connected MIDI Cables to see if it resolves the issue?

Yes to question 2. Nothing connected to midi in. I’m using the new beta firmware. Pressing D+F together is unresponsive. Bank up and down unresponsive. I’ll probably reinstall firmware 12.13 tomorrow. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the info. If unresponsive and nothing is connected, then likely it is how the preset is programmed. Please email us (help@morningstarfx.com) your “all banks” backup so we can take a look at how it is programmed.

I have an FS-7 in omniport 1 set to control bank up and down. When I connect it via TRS to the omniport my tap tempo stops working and after I engage a preset I can no longer switch to another preset. It remains on the first preset I engage until I switch banks using the FS-7 and it repeats. Select a preset, must change banks to select another.

When I unplug from the omniport the issue is resolved and I can also access the menu using d+f now. Not sure why it wouldn’t work before. Thanks for your help.

Nevermind I have it working now. As someone mentioned in another thread FS-7 must be polarity II and momentary. Thanks
