Hi all, I have recently bought an H90 and have got most actions through my MC6 MK2 working that i need (tap tempo, tuner etc) except that I can not toggle the program off.
I have used number CC#110 as the Prog Act/Byp, but for the life of me I can’t get it to turn off!? I have attached a screenshot of the instructions I am giving it?
First off, you wrote that you use CC#110 as the Prog Act/Byp. But in your screenshot it says CC#111. That won’t work.
Because the H90 will Act/Byp on the incoming Msg, you only need one Msg. Like this (except for the MIDI channel of course):
Thanks Rantaplan, that was an error in my writing, the CC#'s did match up/.
Do you have a H90? How do you set up the prorgram? As mentioned, I want to be able to hit a song name in a bank, then change to that program turned on, which I am not having an issue with. The issue is turning off the program! I have tried almost everything!
With you suggestion above, are you meaning for P Act/Byp or P Act/Byp (M) ? I just tried both and still can’t turn the preset off…~
In your setup (looking at your screenshot), you send 2 Messages by pressing the assigned Footswitch in Pos 1.
Msg 1 tells the H90 to jump to and open Program 2. That’s fine.
Msg 2 tells the H90 to activate it right after. But that already just happened. So it does nothing.
The next press now sends Msg3 because the MC8 now is in Pos 2.
Msg 3 tells the H90 nothing. Right CC#, but wrong Value. Change it to 64-127 and it should work. Like this:
This is how I set it up works with multiple instances (with different programs) .
This is on an MC6PRO which shows the Names and colors. What is not shown is that Toggle is ON.
BTW Over the years of using MIDI I always try to make a point of NOT using Channel 1. My reasoning is that all units come with that as the default. So if one forgets, and you put a new unit on, then that could cause a lot of head scratching. So when I put a new unit on, first thing I do is to change the MIDI channel number, trying to avoid Ch 10 as that was always the de facto drum channel. Old habits die hard!
Really happy for you. Also don’t forget the power of the Hotswitches, even one can make a huge difference. For instance, in your now working example as above, if you change the “Press” to “Release” nothing will change. But it could allow you to set up using the same switch and add a MSG using “Long Release” to toggle the hotswitch 1. examples I have used, a patch with Spring and Tremolo with the Tremolo OFF in the saved patch. Long press to toggle Tremolo ON. Enjoy..
