Error When Updating to Bluetooth Firmware v1.1.5 on MC8 Pro

Hi,

I saw that there is a new bluetooth module firmware v1.1.5.
I followed the steps to connect to the controller’s wifi and went to the update page.
Upload started, then stopped at 8% with this error message:

Do I need that upgrade? What could be wrong? Thank you :slight_smile:

You don’t need that update but shouldn’t be experiencing that error, either. I had it a few times ages ago and there was a specific reason but I can’t quite remember what it was.

What is the Bluetooth firmware filesize? I have a memory of the file not downloading correctly and this resulted in this specific error.

I believe it’s only compatibility fixes for future products but could be wrong

Yes, at this moment, there isn’t a need to update the bluetooth firmware at all. The later version was released just to accommodate for the MC4 PRO naming.
