Emulate external footswitch for Boss RC

Hi!

BOSS RC10R has an input for an external controller that allows to expand the pedal possibilities. One of the things you can configure there is a Preset Up/Down function that do not exist in their midi parameters list.

Although you can use the PC number scroll function from Morningstar controllers, it’s not accurate as the system does not know the current preset position and so, I was wondering if MC6 PRO, through an Omniport connected to the External controller input of the RC10R, would be capable of emulating a hardware TRS footswitcher.

Is this possible? Thank you!

Hi, you can’t use the omniports to do that, but the pro has two relay ports which are designed to do exactly what you want.

Oh, looks like I’ve just understood the utility of the relay ports, thank you! Just ordered a cable to try it! :slight_smile:
