Editor - MC8 Pro bluetooth on iOS

Can I not use the Mobile Editor via bluetooth on iOS? All I get is “Web Bluetooth is not supported on your browser”. My default browser is Chrome, so I suppose that’s what it opens in.

Download the Morningstar MIDI Editor from the App Store and you’ll be sorted out.

That’s what I used. I just hit “Live Editor” and saw the not supported message. I overlooked the Devices tab on top

All good!

Nice video for promo but BT in Chrome still an issue works relatively fine on mobile but desktop doesnt. Anyway I use in home in my desk keep the usb is not a problem

The OP was asking about iOS specifically, which is what that video showed. We have since published a video for connecting to Chrome on desktop too:

Please feel free to send us an email if you experience any obstacles.

how many email do I have to send? none of your support could give a solution Gary Mulholland Brandon Harris all send evasive response mainly point to your video

Ok Here its what I have found out

Use the https://editor-mkii.morningstar.io/

dont even think about selecting the device because there is no piece of code that allows you selection to be on

rescan 3 to 5x times

if you are lucky the Morningstar MC8 Pro show click and now click again in the MC8 Pro
the device its about 30 cm from the desktop and 45cm from the monitor. The device connect but no command can be exchanged. I guess this solution is only marketing  pls consumers use the good and trusted usb c cable

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulty connecting to the desktop Editor via Bluetooth. I see from your email support ticket that Gary has provided numerous troubleshooting suggestions that have helped you to eventually get it working.

Now that you’ve successfully connected to the desktop Editor via bluetooth, are you still facing intermittent connection issues? I’m sorry, I don’t quite understand what you mean by

“there is no piece of code that allows you selection to be on”

Do you mean that you are unable to highlight the device, unable to click pair, or unable to see the device show up upon scanning?

So far bluetooth MIDI connection to the Editor (both mobile and desktop) has been consistent and stable for the vast majority of our users, and we’d love for it to be the same for you too.

Do you mean that you are unable to highlight the device, unable to click pair, or unable to see the device show up upon scanning? Yes would be nice when we click in the Device Logo its get active

Buut now even with USB when I click in different presets nothing changed in the editor screen

My Dear Benjamin

The remote Bluetooth is not must for me because I don’t use it in pedalboards only on the top of my desk to control all my Fractals, Kemper, Hotone, Nano Córtex, QuadCortex and HX please the pedals boards

Now just happen today when I just the presets in the device non longer change in my Editor . the editor can change on the device not the other way around. any tip?

Ah I see what you mean. Yes, you do have to select the MC8 PRO then click on Pair to connect. That is the way that Chrome handles bluetooth MIDI pairing. Since you did not mention intermittent connection, I assume that has been resolved?

Do you mean when you press on a preset switch on the controller itself, no change gets registered on the Editor? This is the correct default behavior. If you would like switch presses to automatically select a preset for you edit, you can enable this from the Editor Settings tab. This is explained in the Editor user guide here. However, do note that when enabled, certain functions are blocked in the controller, like Bank Jump, MIDI Clock etc. This is because there is a need to differentiate when the user wants to load data, and when the user wants to engage the preset.

This is a completely different topic. And to keep the forum organized for members, should be discussed either as a new topic or through email support.

Super Benjamin!

Thanks work fine for me. Hey please when do you have time can you do what have done for NanoCotex revisiting the same for HX Stomp and Quad Cortex with your expertise when you share the .jason file makes a huge difference.

Thanks for the videos and for sharing
