Editing ML10X via USB Host on MC6-Pro

Connecting the ML10X via USB to the MC6-Pro USB Host port and then connecting the MC6-Pro USB Device port to the computer did indeed power up both devices (step 1 success), however, I was unable to see the ML10X via its editor and could only edit the MC6-Pro.
Am I missing something or is this not possible?
Even beyond the above I was hoping I could connect the ML10X and other devices to a USB Hub, connect that hub to the MC6-Pro’s USB Host and then when I connect the MC6-Pro USB Device to the computer all devices would be available to edit.
Thank you for any insight.
Chris

You won’t see the ML10X in the editor using this method. What you’re basically doing is using the MC6 PRO as an interface between the ML10X and the Editor. So, in the ML10X editor, you’ll just need to connect to the ML10X via the MC6 PRO (which means, select the MC6 PRO in the ML10X editor). The computer won’t see the ML10X connected.

You’ll need to have these selected in the MC6 PRO for MIDI Thru

Thanks! That works for the ML10X. Although not for mulitple devices on a hub connected to the USB Host.

Hello ! I know this thread is quite old but I’m facing the same issues : trying to connect ML10X to MC6 pro via USB host port doesn’t work for me. “Thru To > USB Device” and “Thru to > USB Host” are checked. On the ML10X editor, clicking on the first port (MC6 Pro) doesn’t do anything. ML10X does get power from USB and reacts properly to MC6 preset changes.

Would it be possible to edit ML10X via Bluetooth connection to MC8 Pro? I have connected ML10X to Host port of MC8 Pro via usb cable and can access the ML10X when connecting my computer to device usb port but cannot do it with Bluetooth connection.

Can you share a screenshot of the MIDI Thru routing the editor so I can confirm if it is correct?

Yes this will work but there is currently a bug where after the data is loaded from the ML10X, the loading spinner indicator in the editor does not clear away (when connecting with this method). Looking into it.

Hi ! Has there been any progress regarding that issue ? I’ve tried with other computers etc but still can’t access the ML10X editor if it’s daisy-chained with the MC6 Pro via USB host port.
