DIY external switch

Hej!
So I want to make an external expansion box for extra switches. I actually plan to make a single box with three switches to TRS jack to communicate with MC8, and then a separate jack and switch (fourth switch on the box) as a simple external switch for play/record on my CBA blooper, so that I can have my main blooper functions covered on the single box and keep more switches freed up for other functions on the MC8.
The schematic looks super simple and I’m just ordering a few momentary NO switches and 1N4148s, but I’m wondering, as a total noob to doing any solder/wire work beyond making my own cables, if some people here who have made their own of have some external triple switches would be kind enough to share some gut shots to help me visualise things?
Maybe there is a blog post which shows the DIY job somewhere, but I can’t find anything in a search so thought I would post.
Thanks!
