Cubase 10 midi clock sync via MC-6 Pro to Boss RC5 Solved

Here´s how I configured my DAW sync (Cubase) with Boss Rc-5.

  1. Activate MIDI Sync in my DAW (Internal Timecode)

  2. Connect MIDI DIN out from Soundcard into Morningstar MC-6 PRO DIN input.

  3. In MC-6 editor these are my settings, (General Conf)

And then I have a type A cable, mini TRS stereo - mini TRS stereo connected from Omniport 4 and into Boss RC-5. The Boss has MIDI Clock set to AUTO. The Omniport had to be set to MIDI Out-Tip Active in order to work which took me some time to find out. (I had a picture to show this but I´m not allowed to post it because I´m a new member. ??)

Hi,

just for your info, Boss typically uses type A = standard, not tip active. Just in case you run into issues.

I tried Type A, but didnt work, but using the tip value did.
