When I’m using a the boss xs-100 to send midi CC to my MC6 Pro from the xs-100’s TRS midi to the MC6 Pro’s USB port I get a crash and reboot. Video details here:
I’m trying to engage the expression function on the MC6 Pro (CC 53 for expression 3)
Basically as soon as I start sending midi CC to the MC6 Pro I get a crash. I don’t have any midi thru allowed on the MC6 Pro
Is it sending any other CC messages? I saw in the video that the monitor is also showing CC#21. CC#21 will trigger the engage Preset L function. Sending a stream of these and triggering the Engage function multiple times will crash the device.
Ok I think you’re right about the crash. After setting the XS-100’s midi output at cc 90 and then doing a MIDI Message Converter from cc90 to cc53 on the MC6Pro I got it working. I must have not saved the setting properly the first time on the XS-100. One thing that was tripping me up while testing for a while is that Engage Expression MIDI CC changes don’t show up on the little expression monitor like they do when you’re using an Omniport to change expression values. But it does work! Would love for that monitor to work but I’ll take it.
