I just picked up my first MC8. Im basically using it for two functions One is to Toggle between different channel variations with my Marshall JVM. I’m using buttons A through D for this.
I have them set up in toggle mode, so each one can be pressed a second time to activate the second master volume to use it as a volume boost This has worked out great so far
The top four switches I’m using as instant access switches to turn on effects as needed in my line 6 HX One.
The problem I’m having is when I switch on one effect and then move to another. It still shows the previous effect is still on. I then turned on “ The clear bank data” Which fixed this? But now when I switch From one effect to the other, it’s affecting my toggle buttons on the amp channels. So if I’m on position two, and I want to stay in that position and turn on a different effect, it automatically puts me back to position one

if you enable ‘clear preset toggles’ in bank settings, engaging a new preset will toggle all other presets to position 1.
If you only want specific presets to act like this, group them in a ‘toggle reset group’.
Disable ‘clear preset toggles’
Go to ‘toggle group’ (upper right of the edit preset tab) and scroll down the dropdown until you find ‘toggle reset group’.
Add every preset you want to be toggled off by other presets to the same toggle group.
If you want to toggle, e.g. preset A when engaging preset B, but not preset B when engaging preset A, you could programm a ‘set toggle’ message type to preset B.
Is there a way set a PC and CC message simultaneously to both switch to an HX preset and also activate that preset if it’s saved in a disengaged state?
Yes,
send the PC first and the CC second. You might have to add a ‘delay’ message type between the first and the second message, because the HX might take some time to load the preset.
