Convert incoming CC# to invoke message action on MC6 PRO?

I can program my RC-600 buttons to send CC. I have the rc600 going into mc6. Is there a way to send a CC from my RC600 into my MC6 PRo, and have mc6 programmed to run message preset “N” of current bank when it receives particular cc?

See the MIDI Implementation chart here: MC6 PRO

You can send fixed MIDI CCs to perform an action (e.g. press, release, long press etc) with a designated preset within the current bank e.g. CC23, value 1 would perform a Press action on Preset N of the current bank.

In addition to that: If the RC-600 CC messages are fixed and unable to trigger your desired MC6 PRO presets, you can use the MIDI Message Convertor and convert the MIDI messages at the MC6 PRO’s input to the correct CC message to trigger your desired presets.

Good point…I hadn’t considered the MIDI Message converter. Excellent use of this functionality.

Is there perhaps a setting somewhere in editor I have to change? The RC-600 is communicating with MC6. I can see that reflected by midi clock. But, I can’t get it to take any cc commands. The RC is fairly flexible, as far as editing what the buttons can do. Right now I have pedal 9 programmed to send a midi cc# 1 with a value of 1, but the Mc6 is not changing banks. (I’m using bank change cc from chart for immediate feedback on whether it’s working or not) Ultimately I want it to do preset N.
Thanks for your response! I just can’t figure out why the mc6 doesn’t seem to hear the rc600, except for clock. Btw it’s 5pin i/o

Do you send the messages on the correct channel?
Is midi Tx active and not restricted to a specific channel on the RC?
Check if the 5 pin plugs are oriented correctly.

CC messages don’t change banks on the MC6 PRO, PC messages do. CC messages trigger presets.

@Brandon, CCs can also trigger Bank Up and Bank Down….but I understand what you were trying to clarify.
