I am a mac user and have to-date had no problem connecting my MC6 MkII to the editor. Today, no matter what I try, I simply cannot connect the two. The troubleshooting guide supports Windows OS only. Please help.
Just want to update that this issue has been resolved via chat.
The issue was a conflict in another connected MIDI device (USB MIDI interface). After removing that device, the issue was resolved. The issue persisted after reconnecting that said MIDI device.
In macOS, removing the selected MIDI device in MIDI Studio and then reinstalling it resolved the issue.
i witnessed the same thing on Windows. I have to close out my Torpedo Remote and Kernconnect programs before opening the editor. Once it is connected, however, I am then able to open the other apps.
In Windows, only 1 software can claim a connected USB MIDI device at any one time, so that might explain the issue. If another MIDI software is already opened, they might have claimed the MC before the Morningstar Editor.
An alternative to this is to use the Serial port connection which uses a different protocol.
