Connecting only works on 1 USB port (Macbook Pro)

Hello, this is a long shot:

I have a 2021 Macbook Pro (M1 chip) with three USB C/Thunderbolt 4 Ports, 2 on the left, 1 on the right. I can only connect to the MC6Pro with the one on the right.

Has anyone seen this? I cannot find any Mac documentation showing that the ports are different (though I vaguely remember researching this before and finding they were different).

Thanks!

John

Seems like a common problem:

If you have a powered USB Hub then that might resolve the issue.

I have a 2021 MacBook Pro Max (M1) and have had no problems with any of the three ports. I realize that in and of itself isn’t helpful other than to point out your situation isn’t universal.

Are you powering the Morningstar with the USB C or with another power supply? I’ve always powered mine with my pedalboard’s power supply.

That is helpful, thanks! That indicates a hardware issue with the ports, rather than something else.
