Connecting multiple devices

Hi guys. I’m completely new to midi. I have an MC3 and I want to connect my Boss Gt1k Core and my RC5 looper. Is it better to use midi pass through MC3 > GT > RC5 or connect to each pedal directly from the MC3. Does it even matter?

TBH - I’d pick whatever method gives you the neatest cable run and the cheapest cable purchase!
