I have absolutely no clue how to even see if pedals are connected or working or what. I’m a complete beginner to midi outside of my DAW and midi controller.
I’ve plugged in my dl4 mkii, whammy DT, Enzo Meris, GigFx chopper, and others but I don’t understand and cant comprehend how to even start within the editor. THere’s nothing that says anything about any other device or anything. This has been hours of frustration lol
Hi,
would be helpful if you could give some details. Which device(s?) are we talking about and what are you trying to do with it?
Hi. We are here and happy to help. For a start, these 3 videos would be helpful for you:

As @GuitarWolf has mentioned, sharing what you would like to achieve with controlling your devices would be helpful for us to better help you.
Thank you both for your responses! Running the mc6 pro with the updated editor and everything via a macbook pro w m1 chip.
To begin with I’m just trying to figure out how to assign effects to switches. With the help of the links benjamin gave I was able to figure out the dl4 mkii. I can already tell this is going to be so cool once I figure more out, but thats where my progress has stalled.
I was running the Meris Enzo (not x) into the mc6 pro via TRS 1/4”, the dl4 from mc6 (midi out to midi in), and then running the midi through the dl4 to the digitech whammy DT.
My issues beyond not figuring out how to program those other two pedals are that-
- If I disengage the Enzo I get no sound
- the midi connection between the dl4 and whammy seems to alter the sound even without any parameters set and the pedal off
I believe I assigned the enzo to channel 16 and used the midi dictionary to load some sounds but I can’t get anything to change (even tried 14 & 15 as well as one number in each direction in case the “0” thing came into play.
I also have the gigfx chopper and both the OBNE dark star & Black fountain stereo i’m hoping to incorporate as well as the Halo and Empress heavy Menace. I’d like to use the ehx pitchfork plus and expression pedal in place of the whammy too but I’m not sure if that will work since there isn’t a midi port on there like the whammy DT has?
All help is very much appreciated!
Do you disengage via midi or manually?
In what way is the sound altered? Can you verify that this is caused by the midi connection? Disconnect the midi cables to test this.
In some cases you’d have to store presets on the pedal first to be able to recall them. Did you store some new presets on the Enzo?
Be aware that changing the midi channel on the MC doesn’t set the channel on the pedal itself. This has to be done seperatly. Check the Enzo’s manual on how to do this.
How is the Enzo connected to the MC? If you use an omniport it has to be configured to be tip active.
