I searched around, but couldn’t find a similar request. Apologies if it exists.
I’d like to request a click-and-drag-to-select function for the ML10X advanced mode preset editor window. Ideally, it would be identical to the click-and-drag Mac/PC desktop function to select any number of desktop icons to move them around with connections intact. A secondary function to mass delete connections with CMD+Delete/CTRL+Delete/assignable (or non-assignable) Hotkey would be helpful as well. If either of these abilities are currently available, then please disregard, and again, apologies. Thank you!
Yes! Currently, in the advanced editor, clicking and dragging in the field moves all icons; even ones without connections. It would be nice to be able to ‘‘drag-to-select’’ any number of icons to move (as shown with the desktop folders in the latter part of my vid) while the unselected icons remain stationary, and connections remain intact. Also, having a hotkey (or a button like the ‘Arrange Nodes’ button) to form connections with all selected icons, and a hotkey to delete all connections with selected icons would be awesome.
Hello again! I don’t mean to pry, or be a burden. Just curious about this request : ) It’s only a ‘quality-of-life’ thing.
I hope my GIF explains my intent well enough. I just think it would be useful (and intuitive for beginners because it behaves like any computer desktop they’re used to) to have the ML10X advanced editor node selection behavior/capability mimic a computer desktop’s “Drag-Select” behavior. Currently, if you try to drag-select, it moves your entire node structure (signal chain). It’s really brief, but I display the behavior I’m describing in the beginning of my GIF.
Let me know if you need me to clarify further. I seriously don’t mind waiting on a resolution (or a “No”) to this, and I understand there are more pressing matters you guys are tending to.
I’m also very interested in the last few moments of the expression video you just released… ; )
Sorry! this development will take longer as it is using a different software library. We’ve only identified the library we want to use for this and did a prototype, but the actual development has not started.
No, that’s great! I’m just happy that that functionality is on your radar. I appreciate the transparency. This kind of treatment of the community is a definite contributor to my use of the Morningstar ecosystem. Thank you!
