Choosing which port messages go out on MC6pro

My test this morning:

  1. TAB: Controller Settings
  2. MIDI Channel 2
  3. Select Only Output USB Device Port 2
  4. MIDI Channel 3
  5. Select Only Output USB Device Port 3
  6. Save Settings
  7. TAB: Edit Preset A
  8. MSG 1, Press, PC, 1, Select the MIDI Channel 2 configured above
  9. MSG 2, Press, PC, 1, Select the MIDI Channel 3 configured above
  10. Save Preset

Now when I tap preset A, I only see a single PC message on MIDI Channel 2, out the USB Device Port 1

Where is MSG 2?
Why USB Device Port 1?
