Apologies if this has been talked about before. As a guitarist I find myself doubling up noodling with a modular synth. I need to control both my pedal board and the synth while playing guitar. Is it possible to choose which MIDI port to send a message out on per message within a preset. As I have have used up the 16 channels in my MC6pro.
If I could send one set of messages through the 5 pin din connection and another set through the TRS MIDI per preset, then I can have two chains of 16 MIDI channels to play with. For example sending PC1 on MIDI channel 1 via TRS will go to a synth, the same message via 5 pin din then goes to my pedal board.
Thanks in advance for your help,

Hi James.
Thanks so much, I presume a Trello card means you are working on this?

Currently I use the “Mask MIDI Outputs” feature to do this but it’s a lot of heavy-lifting. I think the experience could definitely be improved.
Thanks for pointing that out, that’s a great workaround for now, but will restrict number of messages out per preset. Hopefully James can add an option do this per preset. Thank you though that’s something I will try.
We’re looking into the possibility of adding virtual MIDI Channels.
So you have your base 16 channels where you can already select which port to send to
Then you’ll have another 16 “virtual” MIDI channels where for each virtual MIDI channel, you can set which MIDI Channel and which port to send out to.

That’s sounds brilliant thank you so much🥳
This is the solution I’ve been advocating for a long time. This will be a massive game changer for anyone with a big setup.
