Can the midi message converter function be used to convert the MC6’s OWN outgoing messages? Perhaps by using MIDI cables to loop messages back to itself?
It only converts incoming MIDI messages. What’s the use case for converting it’s own messages though?
If you loop the messages back then yes it can be converted.
The use would be to expand the CC or MIDI note message capabilities of my expression pedal. For instance, in addition to sending a specific CC value at the toe-down position, I would like to send a different CC value when lifting up on the pedal about 1/4 of the way.
Perhaps it would be better to add more expression pedal trigger “ranges”.
This feature would likely allow for custom footswitches that have more than 3 buttons (each button has a different resistance).
