Can I use my MC-6mk2 to control bpm in Logic pro? (and all my other midi devices)

Hey, how’s it going everybody?

So, I want to use my MC-6mk2 as the midi sync controller for all of my devices, including Logic Pro. However, I read that after Logic 8, you could no longer tell Logic to listen to and follow another device’s midi sync for BPM.

However, I saw someone mention you COULD tell logic to sync with MTC. But idk much about MTC or logic pro yet, or if the morningstar even outputs MTC. (reference: https://gearspace.com/board/apple-logic-pro/1211947-sync-logic-10-4-mtc.html)

SO–does anybody know if what I’m trying to do is possible? Or, if I’m using my DAW in my midi sync signal path, do I just HAVE to use the DAW’s midi sync to sync up the tempo on everything else?

Thanks for any advice!

(It’s not the biggest deal, but it seems that logic only outputs midi sync when playing or recording. As soon as you press stop, midi sync on (at least some) devices goes out the window. Whereas you can tell midi sync from the MC-6mk2 to persist, which would be nice for when I want to sync everything but I don’t want to play or record something in my DAW)
