Can I temporarily switch presets (i.e. turning a toggle preset into a message scroll)?

Newbie here.
I am trying to understand if it is possible to make a preset that is normally toggling between Pos1 and Pos2, but can be switched/shifted to a Message Scroll preset.

I was thinking about something like

  • Pos1 and Pos2 are triggered with a Release action to have normal toggling functionality (toggle mode off, but a Toggle Preset action at the end)
  • Longpress (only for Pos2) will set a necessary CC value to 127 and set the preset into Shift position
  • no idea how to achieve the message scroll here - I want to scroll through 3 CC values and send that info to a counter each time to update the preset name accordingly
  • Release action for Shift position putting the preset back into Shift position (so a shift position loop, just tested it, seems to work)
  • Double Tap sets toggle back to Position 2 and hence normal toggling functionality

Is this possible somehow?
So far I solved this by having one switch to jump to another page where I have a copy of all the presets except for one that is replaced with a Message Scroll preset. It works, but it is inelegant and inconvenient as I have to copy the presets to the other page every time I want to change something - already dreading the day I forget copying the preset to the other page and finding out on stage.
/edit: And duplicating all presets over two pages apparently also creates a problem with the shift function of a preset and the synchronicity with its duplicate.

interesting idea.
I’d try to set up the scroll counter on a different preset and use ‘engage preset’ to trigger it.
Or switch it around. Set up the scroll counter in pos 1. And use pos 2 and shift to toggle the device.
Or set up a scroll counter in pos 1 and your toggle on another preset and trigger the toggle remotely.
