Boss RC5 / MC6 MIDI Out

I know there’s a lot on getting midi-in to work on the RC-5 from the MC6. I haven’t been able to get it working using the midi out from the MC6, but I do have it working from the TRS/exp out using a 1/4” to 3.5mm TRS. Do I have a faulty MIDI-out on the Morningstar?

The cable I’ve been using is the official Boss TRS/midi which I’ve confirmed is working by running the midi out, into my audio interface from the RC5.

If you have a regular MIDI cable, you can test it by connecting the MC6 MIDI OUT to the MC6 MIDI IN, and then send a PC message to the MC6 MIDI Channel and see if it changes banks.

I don’t think we’ve come across a faulty MIDI OUT connector before as it is one of the components we test before shipping out.
