I am trying to send realtime start messages to the Boss MD200 to adjust the start the slicer effect.
I’d like to “start” the slicing on the ‘1’
On the Boss M200 I did turn the “rts” parameter to “mid”, as well as “sync” to “aut” and “thd” to “off”
The Boss Md200 does adjust well to the incoming tempo from the MC8.
The Program changes also work fine.
But I cant get the effect to “start” on the 1 of my tempo by pressing a MC8 preset with the real time message ‘start’.
I tried the alternative MMC ‘start’ message (after reading on your forum that someone needed that function to start an Akai Mpc) , but again no luck, the cycle of the effect on the Boss MD200 doesn’t restart.
I use that live to trigger arpeggios that sync up to the rest of the band (the drummers plays with a click to a specific bpm).
I manage to control the arpeggios of my Anyma Phi synth with such real time start and stop messages that is working well.
When I send midi directly from Ableton to the Boss Md200 it works, it re-starts the effect,
But from the MC8 to the MD200, it doesnt.
Any tips?
