Boss FS5U as 'expression pedal' with MC6 Mk2

Hi,
I’ve got a question: can I use the Boss FS5U as an ‘expression pedal’ with the MC6? I just need to switch between 0 and 100%, so an actual expression is not needed in my case. So can i just connect it to the MC6 Exp 1 input and set it to an expression pedal?

The way the FS5U is wired, I don’t think this will work. You’ll need a DPDT switch that connects the Tip to Ring when not pressed, and then Tip to Ground when pressed.
