I’ve just bought the Boss poly shifter xs1 and want to control its CTL functions with the MC6 pro. You can set 2 alternative tunings using the boss FS switches but does anyone know if it’s possible to set them using the MC6 pro?
I can get it turn on/off but can’t seem to get it into ‘preset’ mode to create the 2 alternate tunings. I’ve tried a number of variations.

Next programm a preset on the MC like this
Disable ’Toggle mode’.I just realised the position of both messages has to be set to ‘both’, not pos1/pos2!!
Connect the relay port to the xs with a trs cable.
To programm the xs engage the preset and follow this instruction

I’m not sure that it’s worked. Or at least it does not show the same behaviour as the you tube video I saw with someone using their fs7 footswitch. When they held one of the buttons down, the LED went green.
When following your steps the LED flashes red and then stops when the switch is released.
I’m also not sure how to set it to recall the presets.
Do you have the xs1 and have you been able to achieve this?

I don’t own a xs1. But I have several boss devices including a fs7. I know that the settings I’ve posted for the MC are correct. Boss uses normally closed momentary switches on all their devices. That equals ‘NC’ on the MC. On a fs7 that would be ‘polarity I’.
I’m sorry I can’t say anything about the specifics of the xs1.
One thing should be mentioned. To operate the xs it’s probably best to send a ‘NC tap’ on press, instead of the engage/disengage on press and release. Those are just there to mimic a held down switch.
