It’s only taken me a month to finally get around to testing this out. From the couple of hours I’ve spent, I haven’t run into any issues. Setting routing on the ML10X, using set loops for preset calls, and toggle loops for adding an extra drive in.
@james - i figured out the reason. It’s since I have midi plugged in and the usb host connection. If I remove 5 pin din then it works and vice versa. Any settings I should change to help this? Thx
This is because your controller is sending MIDI out to both the USB Host and 5 pin. So the ML10X is receiving the MIDI message twice. Hence the toggle feature doesnt look like it is working because it is toggling and then toggling back. In the MC MIDI channel settings under the controller settings, you can perhaps turn off the USB HOST MIDI port for the ML10X MIDI channel.
I’m seeing a couple issues with the beta firmware 1.2.0 and beta editor (RevB) on Advanced Mode presets.
High-level overview:
I’m passing my signal through my drives (input tip through the drives in mono), then splitting for stereo wet effects and amps (D & E).
The two issues: 1) When backing up, factory resetting and restoring/reloading the backup, my preset on/off settings for each ring/tip are not loading. All rings/tips are bypassed after reloading the backup.
2) The display on the ML10x isn’t showing the right short names for my signal chain. Here’s an example:
Two things:
A) Not showing all short names - Notice DB is shown twice (even though DB is the short name for only the “Double B A-tip”) and NK (short name for NotAKlon A-Ring) is missing.
B) Not showing in the correct order of my signal chain…and not showing engaged vs. bypassed loops. Is this a limitation of the how the ML10x shows the on-screen advanced mode?
Question:
I see that the cut output / restore output are using sysex NOT CCs.
For those of us not using Morningstar controllers can we get any documentation of the sysex commands so that we can use these features?
