Basic Expression Pedal use

Hi there, sorry if this is a really dumb question but I’m having problems using the expression pedal via an omni port.

I just want to know how to use an expression pedal to change the speed of my strymon flints tremolo.

The flint is connected to an omni port receiving midi (this works fine for everything except expression)

The mc6 pro is receiving expression changes on the unit itself but I can’t figure out how to assign it to a cc parameter in the new editor. I think in the old version it was called “expression cc”

Any help would be hugely appreciated

Hi,
‘use value from expression’ will send only a fixed CC value corresponding to the current pedal position.
If you want to change a parameter while moving the pedal you’ll have to set up an expression preset.
Bottom right, choose EXP 2 if the expression pedal is connected to Omniport 2:

Use ‘select exp message’ to choose which expression message is active for your preset:
