I just dug my Digitech SDRUM out—it has sync capabilities, but I’m wondering if anyone has tried controlling it with the MC6 Pro.
It doesn’t seem to have MIDI In, but there is a USB port.
It sends clock all right, I got the Boomerang III to see it–I will try syncing it to the EDP soon, but what would be cool is if I can send commands from the Morningstar instead of using the three button footswitch.
I will try that as well.
TIA for any replies (assuming this something others have addressed).
I’ve gotten a couple of questions in user support about this. SDRUM is not really a MIDI device beyond providing a MIDI clock output. Some users have hacked together MIDI control by sending relay messages through the footswitch port (the MC6 Pro has built in relays that will work), but the consensus I’ve seen from most people is that it kinda-sorta works but isn’t really satisfying.
Oh, another annoying thing is that the footswitch mode is set by holding down of the footswitch buttons when you insert it.
Thanks—looks like the 3 button Footswitch will have to do.
This isn’t my main setup anyway—but I like the Drum sounds!

Clearly lots of people like the concept and how it works, so it’s unfortunate it doesn’t have MIDI!
