Anyone has issues controlling Jackson Audio devices via MC6 Pro Omniports?

We had some issues with controlling the Jackson Audio Golden Boy via the Omniport on the MC6 PRO. Bloom works fine for us, but some users have issues with the Bloom as well.

No issues with the MC3/6/8, only on the MC6 PRO.

Wondering if anyone else faced the same issue? I believe I saw a couple of comments about this in the FB user group as well.

Anyway, I think we have a fix. Just want to make sure it works for everyone. The issue seems intermittent and varies across the Jackson Audio devices.

If you do give it a go, do let me know if it fixes the issue for you, thanks!

I have an Optimist and an Asabi and both of those seem to be working fine :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for the feedback. We did more analysis today and found a potential fix. The issue is happening because the 0s in the MIDI data are not being sunk hard enough for these pedal’s processors to read the 1s and 0s.

So far the feedback is that this only affects some Jackson Audio models (varies within models) and the Jet pedals Lamb.

So, the solution for this is:

  1. If you are comfortable with soldering 0805 resistors, we can provide instructions for you. This will affect the level of over-voltage protection for the Omniports.
  2. Use the 3.5MM MIDI OUT or DIN MIDI OUT
  3. Use a TRS MIDI Box

thanks for the info James. i will keep using the Bloom with the 3.5mm.
