Allow offline no controller no Internet editing of backup file

Would like the ability to sit on the plane and edit my MC6 configuration and save to file to load when connecting again.

You can use the Desktop Editor etc. for that no?

From what I can tell this is not possible even with the desktop editor. You have to be connected to the MC6 in order for you to actually save what you’re working on and vice versa, you have to be connected to an MC6 in order to load a previously saved off configuration.

It would be great if you could work on your MC6’s configuration while away from the device itself, solely using the editor to “draw” out your ideas while at your computer then load them onto your device later to see if they work.

Use the setlist manager in the editor and thank me later

No, in fact I will thank you now!! Wow had no idea this was possible… it even says it clearly in the documentation… perhaps this should be stated clearly elsewhere because this is extremely useful! I’ve been a huge fan of Morningstar for a long time now and this is my first time realizing this… Thanks so much!!

Using setlist manager is only an emergency solution at least if you are doing some serious midi programming. I misses a lot of info like naming of midi channels and if you make different banks use presets from other banks there are no names on the bank you refer to - only numbers.

I wouldn’t dare editing my setup in the setlist editor
