Potential bug here. I have three ML-10x devices that I can use happily in Ableton and manage via serial, but only one shows up to manage as a MIDI device in the morningstar software. This limitation applies to both the detected devices and the manual midi selection:
Another thought occurs - the three devices are in the same thru chain, but have seperate channels and device IDs - I can’t easily put one onto a seperate MIDI input on the PC at the moment without ripping my board apart - suspect that might work so this may be an edge case bug…though I’d think most people who would be an additional switcher would have them all in the same spot and expect to be able to MIDI chain them…
Yes in Windows, it does not differentiate between devices of the same USB Vendor and Product ID (no issues on Mac) so we added the SERIAL option in the editor so you can connect to the ML10Xs via Serial instead. Does that option work for you?
