Add boost pedal in preset

I have been using a MC6 Pro, ML5 combo for a while, and have been unable to duplicate a specific function that I was used to with my previous Boss system.
I use banks as songs and have each section of a song programmed for a different preset.
I have an Iridium, a DD200, & a Slicer SL-2 that are controlled via midi, and an ML5 to control my drive pedals.
When i engage a bank/song, whatever preset is first in the song is automatically engaged, & the preset name background is dark red.
when I switch to the next preset/song section, the red background goes away on the previously used preset, and the current preset engages with the red background.
This works pretty good giving me real time indication of the preset status while playing live.

I would like to add an additional function. While a preset/song section is engaged, I’d like to hit the same preset button again, and add an additional loop on the ML5 for a boost with a visual change in the background color, like a switch to green. Then if I hit that preset switch again have it go back to the same preset, but without the boost loop and with the background back to the red “engaged” color.
It seems that this requires the shift state, but I have been unsuccessful in making it work.
I do not need presets to ever turn off or clear with their own button. In my workflow i simply just move to the next preset.
I’ve uploaded an example preset I have created.

Hi,
it is possible to set up a preset to alternate shift and position 2.
Deactivate ‘toggle mode’ and programm a ‘toggle preset’ message in ‘pos 1’.
Programm a ‘set toggle/shift’ message in ‘pos 2’.
The preset will then toggle from pos1 to pos 2 when first engaged and toggle between pos 2 and pos shift on every subsequent press.

thanks i will try this
